I ask the sky to sit
lean on my shoulder
and allow me to do the same
I ask him to shine a few stars for me
‘no one has done that for me ever’
He turns to me quizzically nodding his head
I ask him to bring a rainbow now and make me bright
He is quiet listening to my pleadings
Looking ahead his wide deep forehead furrowed
His nostrils wrinkled as if he is about to sneeze
He lifts his hand to touch my chin
He picks a Sun drop and lets it sit on my palm
He fluffs a cloud and makes it dance for me
He lets me lean to listen to the song of his soul
Deep deep murmurings of every life form
Mixed in equal portions of love, pain and ecstasy
He allows me a glance into his heart
I see the life forms in a surreal dance of joy
Myriad colours rushing to fit into life forms
the birds, the flowers, the monkeys and the man
He lets me read his lips
I hear his words of deep love that charge the life forms
who turn to his voice, raise their heads and listen intently
He allows me to look deep into his eyes
And I see love, deep deep respect for life forms
I see a glimpse of me and am beyond thrilled
He fits his formlessness into my soul
‘now I am here’, he says, ‘for ever’
And I am smiling again.
Ps: Sky in me
