When I think of the best sports themed movies that I have watched, I have to mention Chak De, India, Bend It Like Beckham, The Ice Princess, Bhaag Milka Bhaag, Mary Kom, Coach Carter, Dangal, Godha – the Malayalam film and the Karate Kid of course.

Good, I am impressed by my repertoire as a movie watcher, yet, Hustle was different in many ways. It touched my heart, moved me to tears, at the immense potential that often goes wasted, the investment of a coach or a mentor and the adorable contrast of physical build and a tender heart!

The movie is carried on the shoulders of Sandler but also others like Queen Latifa, Juancho Hernangomez, Anthony Edwards, Ben Foster, Heidi Gardner and Jordan Hull… in fact the talent in this film is rather equitably distributed and so is their screen presence and impact on the viewer.

With great story telling and excellence in acting, the movie is quite the block buster, you might want to watch it more that once!
