I had the best of the news and worst of the news the same day. I cried more at the worst, wondering at the injustice of it all, hurt that such pain should come to someone so young, so bright, so deserving of only love and appreciation, yet this, and then as the heart is wont to do, it runs down the black alleys of dark memories that cause you to shudder and remind yourself to be grateful of where you are, how you are.

Then I think of ‘Shantaram’ of Linbaba and his eventful life, of a man who turned the worst of crimes into a light beyond all of us. Gregory David Roberts transformed himself from being the most wanted criminal to become the author of one of most loved stories in human history.

Hopefully the netflix series Shantaram is gonna be as captivating as the book!
