Looking at absence as the possibility of a new presence changes everything. Life is all about the lens you wear to look at it.
Most of the time you and I are engaged in desperately counting what we miss, which blinds us to the new possibilities and new hopes.
The attitude of gratitude is a good lens to pick up in such circumstances. It easily removes grievances and fills the heart with thankfulness. This in turn makes you smile often and eases the wrinkles of a frown from your forehead.
If you have to choose a lens to view life, then let it be that of golden gratitude. Trust me, it spurs you on in life and plucks out those wriggling doubts from your mind that shadow your true purpose of living.
So, here’s to gratitude, yours and mine, and our collective power to spread more smiles.
