Don’t give up

Don’t give up

the end is here

the end is near

it is dear, so don’t give up

not yet, not yet

I am with you

we move ahead

you and I, step by step

each moment

as it passes by

don’t give up

my love, you deserve much more

don’t give up

your heart is young even now

don’t give up

coz at the turn he stands

your love, with open arms

he welcomes you

by the clouds, he dances for you

he sends you rains

and flowers of rainbow too

don’t give up

I keep watching you through

don’t give up

he comes to you

riding the trails of gold

he comes to you

in sweet victory

so don’t give up

it’s never too late

cause you chose love

above everything else

don’t give up

dear love, I am with you here

don’t give up

ever again.

Promise of love

You promised, she told the Sky

who was busy hiding behind the clouds

It’s about time, don’t you think

she tried dropping some heavy hints

hoping him to catch the trend

He though, scratching his chin

and nodding awkwardly

did not want to speak, not yet

Knowing how silences leads to words

and then to long pregnant pauses

she prepared herself to wait

not too long but a bit maybe

So, that day went past in waiting

now the azure sky is back

a half smile playing along his lips

and she is supposed to make sense of nothing

seriously, nothing!

Jigsaw puzzles have held her hanging

far too long, but then

hope for love refuses to die

and searches for a sunbeam in a raindrop.

Sun & Dark clouds

When the dark clouds came

Sun beat a hasty retreat

‘Sorry, I should not have come

It’s your day to shine and pour

or vice versa’

It looked as if the dark clouds

did not take it kindly

and soon filled the sky

with their own light

somewhere though

the earth lay dreaming

awash with tears of joy

drenched in love

soothing her pains

bringing her pleasures

she smiled in sleep

‘they are mine’

she murmured softly

the Sun and the dark clouds’

fancy fantasises filled her thoughts

she dreamt of love

smiles curled

around her lips

eyes grew heavy

in painful pleasure

and the sky poured

down hasty, pounding

pulsating with life.

Sky soul

This way, this way

I urged the sky

walking ahead

and creating space

I wanted to shut the door behind

when I knew he was fully inside

his tail of clouds and fancy breeze crown

his stars that shone and the sun that burnt

oh! you forgot the moon?

I asked surprised

He was busy, said sky casually.

Fit him in as I tried

I could not and I felt exasperated

I sweated profusely

anxious tears and fears of losing

ran down my cheeks

He laughed at me and gently sat

his ether butt on the foam chair

you need not tie me down to have me

neither should I

we are but free you and I

he held his arms and gathered my soul

a few thought strands he calmed them down

he planted a kiss on my forehead

and held me close

what is, is what is not

what is not, it is

I looked bewildered at his blabbering

and then smiled, and he joined in.

Sky soul

I had not asked the sky to stop by

yet he did being kind

inclined to all things azure

he moved into my soul

he spent some time

clearing a few cob webs

pasting a few sweet smiles

rubbing off a few dark spots

and filling some heavenly fragrances

if nothing, he said

pick up that pen of yours

write, write till you bleed

and then I am there with you

He read out somethings

and I wondered how he knew

he smiled and said

I speak to you in your dreams

I drive away faces dark and fearsome

sometimes I hold your hands as you sleep

kiss away your fears and let you smile

I ask him if I would know him when I saw him

Let time tell you that, he said

and vanished blue.

Sky in Me

I ask the sky to sit

lean on my shoulder

and allow me to do the same

I ask him to shine a few stars for me

‘no one has done that for me ever’

He turns to me quizzically nodding his head

I ask him to bring a rainbow now and make me bright

He is quiet listening to my pleadings

Looking ahead his wide deep forehead furrowed

His nostrils wrinkled as if he is about to sneeze

He lifts his hand to touch my chin

He picks a Sun drop and lets it sit on my palm

He fluffs a cloud and makes it dance for me

He lets me lean to listen to the song of his soul

Deep deep murmurings of every life form

Mixed in equal portions of love, pain and ecstasy

He allows me a glance into his heart

I see the life forms in a surreal dance of joy

Myriad colours rushing to fit into life forms

the birds, the flowers, the monkeys and the man

He lets me read his lips

I hear his words of deep love that charge the life forms

who turn to his voice, raise their heads and listen intently

He allows me to look deep into his eyes

And I see love, deep deep respect for life forms

I see a glimpse of me and am beyond thrilled

He fits his formlessness into my soul

‘now I am here’, he says, ‘for ever’

And I am smiling again.

Ps: Sky in me
