Aye! where are they?
Lost in the tumult of the day
A sigh looks out for tenderness
A hand to hold
A shoulder to lean
Some laughter
Some songs to sing
In the freezing winters
Many hearts long nay yearn
Too shy to admit
What is yet so true
Bring in the song
Move the feet
Let the music break
But what happened to the Sky?

It’s sometime since we sat together
said Sky, brooding over a dark blue cloud
yes, I smiled a little lost in thoughts
it’s been sometime since I have been with myself
a sigh escaped me
we looked at each other, Sky and I
in our individual journeys we have often lost each other
and in moments of quiet reflection, we always found ourselves side by side
a promise loomed large in the background
a mountain stood tall, some hills, some valleys and some plains
like a lost balloon danced a name in the winds
I looked up to see that by which I am called
a voice said, ‘I am there, just hereabouts, a hand’s reach away
Look at goals of the pen and the foot
stay quiet, stay humble and listen with heart
you shall not rest nor rust
focus forward and forge ahead
and I shall bend down to kiss thee
for know that the fallen riseth
the meek shall rule’
A faint breeze blew
a faint fragrance rose
and I am hooked to Sky forevermore

Sometimes you think of things you want to do and think also of why you should or should not be doing it, but then if the thought brings a smile to your face, know that you should plunge straight ahead.
The eager child-like spirit in me, gushing at wonders of the world, the beauty of people, their kindness, the wonderful birds, the ever chanting crickets, the blue sky and the cat by my side, remind me often of a smile that was lost, of the battles that were waged to get the smile back and well, you realize what exactly you need to do and why.
So, then the universe and her guiding spirit lead me to roads hitherto unexplored, friendships till now not made, loads of smiles to conquer, make one’s own and string into a necklace of memories.
Trusting the universe and her infinite mastery over so many lives has been the biggest strength of living, that which enables me to bear a few smirks and over look a few more raising eye brows, because, you see, in front a happy, blessed child within, I am a warrior, a conqueror, a dreamer, a way farer with the masts high, a pen in hand, a willing ear, a heart ready to share, understand and be willing to contribute whichever way I can.
So, it is time to raise a rainbow and make the sky smile rather than wait for clouds to make way for the brightness and cheers to that!!!
Sometimes, just sometimes
strain, strain hard against your skin
thrust your head into the air
breathe in the evening breeze
the night light sprawling the sky
the fragrance of the grass, the weeds, the trees
and inhale the song of the murmuring leaves
sometimes just sometimes when the morning dew
falls against your skin your tall shoulders
your long hair allow me to caress your arms
as you stand against the brightness of the stars
beloved, oblivious of the tears that swell your eyes
I would like to show you hope and prayers and warmth
of a life well lived and of a care given carefree
sit then, the large sky looming against your back
and smile, drawing all the brightness of your soul
as the slow Sun winds his way up the earth.

love flooded in through

the sky nonchalant, lost and shy

as she stood up to dance
thinking, ‘why I did not know this?
why did I stop the music within?
why did I silence the chatter of dreams
reams of fantasties, giggles and laughter rolls
and look for light elsewhere hiding the lamp within!
‘Now, you know’, said the universe.

I am cannot possibly be just yours, said Sky, walking tall, his back upright and his voice tender even in pride.
You see, thousands prostrate in front of me, the clouds dance around me, the breeze blows for me, the oceans rise and fall for me often the earth sends me her ardent yearnings for love. Every life form blushes in deep love for me and rejoices in my presence.
A thousand souls look to me, many more worship me, others soak in my light and grow warm and glow,you must understand I am rather busy, in the real sense!
Besides to me you are one among the all, the multitudes, yes, I know you, see you, hear you even and you should be grateful for what I do for you.
Remember I sustain you, it is not the other way around. So stop this clinging and this unnecessary cringing and this over the top sentimentality. I got to run my course. I do. Millenia has watched me do the same. She knows, the universe, she knows it all. Ask her if you don’t believe me.
In all these years of shining, I have met many souls, beautiful like yourself, they come and go, like flowers in the garden, I watch them all. I love them all.
Allow me the pleasure to shine on all. I sustain lives many more than you can ever count but I know you, I hear you, and I even see you.
Rejoice in my presence, go celebrate the warmth of my love and feel one among others, all others, know that you are special, like others.
I know what you think, of what you doubt, but doubt not, my beloved, my love is true and it is pure but just that it is for all, yes, for all.
I give in surplus, I don’t know to hold back and I give everything my form, my breath, my length, my colours, myself, all of my thoughts, my dreams, so you see me and sometimes do try and hear me.
Yes, giving has exhausted me at times, pinched me to the core, yet, the universe knows, she knows it all, I have never stopped and I shall never ever do that.
Come, smile, let’s walk together till your journey’s end. Stay with me. Find me in your eyes, in your breath, in your dreams and your thoughts, after all you will come back to me and I shall embrace you again.

Where does the Sun go
each day looking so bright
the clouds wondered
worried if he would ever set off too far
Where does he go indeed

they get lost, all my labour of love
in gusts of wind and storms of anger
in your rare indifference and your
happy carelessness, your obsession with self
my notes are trampled by your
single minded pursuit of your dreams
yet I send them in the hope of
a recipient somewhere in the universe
and the sky eggs me on eachday
being himself so vast and profound
he makes time to sit by and listen
and that gives me hope
