Who be you?

Who be you

from across the skies

gently nudging

a wayward ship

losing its moorings

on a stormy night

Who be you

with hands unseen

holding a lamp

for those

blinded with brightness

unable to find their feet

who be you

singing a song

caressing a tired soul

to nod off into deep slumber

dreaming of starry nights

who be you

warning in our hearts

no, not this guy

no, not this place

no, not this time

helping us to wait a little more

who be you

kind spirit of the universe

your presence is our gain

knowing you is our strength

coz you stay within

dear wisdom

to see the world in a rain drop

to hold a life in a seed

stay deep

stay true

just stay.

to keep us grounded

to keep us rooted

just stay.

Wisdom from the Dust

Thus She Spake, The Speckle of Dust

“Can you not hear it?

the muffled cries of pain

the twisting bodies writhing in agony

the crushing sound of the hearts

can you not decipher from the silence ?

the meaningless ramblings

the long drawn out laughters

the silent chuckles

the threats, the whimpers, the screams

Can you not reckon?

the depth of thoughts

the frowning foreheads

the missing beats

Can you not remember ?

the lives past

the heart rending screams

of souls past,present and future

of great thoughts and noble intentions

of greater love ethereal, ennobling

of torments endured

of the vanquished and the victors

in that handful of dust

you hold close to your heart

you tread upon nimble, unsure.”

“O man! O man!

listen sometimes to the ground you walk on

to the breeze you breathe in

to the waters you quench your thirst with

bloodied stained and dried

embossed with  invisible stories of now and ever.

listen in when arrogance sweeps your heart

when ambition clouds your mind

when helpless you stand in face of the storm

listen to the universe

and her indifferent laughter.

when you count your monies and cry

when you count the hurts and weep

when you hit the wall and fall

hear then the indifferent laughter of the universe

she has seen it all

the monotonous tale of  the living

coz she knows you survive if you are meant to

otherwise perish!”

So be it! Tathastu! (Say all!)

A Leap of Faith

Undulating  paths

led me to  walls

again and again

but I being me

drove into darkness

blinded by light

holding the steering wheel

feeling the wind against my ears

a race here, a gap there

then solitude and peace

the testosterone in me

loves the rush

the other warns, cautions.

Cooking up strangely tasty

cookies and cakes that are also healthy

I wondered who in me loved cooking

or was it who I cooked for that I loved

or was it cooking that I adored.

Then when I jump the gun

rush to conclude a deal or  a feel for real

I wonder who in me  is so impulsive

or is it being intuitive?

The universe conspires

giving me joy and love of being

gratitude fills my heart.

And She Gave

For they came in droves men and women

of all kinds and ages from far and near

to the one who gives herself easily in service

to partake in the richness of her good

and then to walk away.

Later though they  were compelled to return to her

fed up of their own anger, greed and indifference.

Each time she snuggled them to her bosom gently

not a word of rebuke, no remorse came forth

just the soothing lull of a loving heart was felt.

Infinite times the hands stretched seeking, groping, searching

as many times she held them kissing, comforting, caressing

She, who was solicited but never loved as one’s own

was for all and not for one.
